Our farm story

More than a farm, a legacy

Rooted Legacy Farm is a faith centered family farm built on a love for God, family, animals, and the simple value of knowing where the food and products your family uses come from.

We raise dairy goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, and other livestock with care and purpose. Behind every product is our family and the daily work of farm life: milking goats, feeding animals, gathering eggs, making soap, baking, and filling orders.

Our name reflects the heart behind everything we do: remaining rooted in what matters most while building something meaningful to pass on to the next generation.

Stewardship

How we raise our animals

Every animal here has a name and a person who checks on it every day. Good care is not a marketing line for us, it is what we believe stewardship looks like.

  1. 01 Room to be animals Pasture, shade, clean water, and space to move every single day.
  2. 02 Honest feed Quality hay, minerals, and grain matched to what each animal needs.
  3. 03 Hands on care Hooves, health checks, and kidding season handled by our own family.
  4. 04 Nothing hidden Come out, meet the herd, and see the barn for yourself any time.

Goat milk herdshare

Raw goat milk, from your own herd

A herdshare is how local families enjoy fresh milk from our dairy goats. You purchase a share of the herd, we care for the animals on your behalf, and you pick up the milk your share produces.

You are welcome to come meet your goats, watch a milking, and see exactly how they are fed and housed. That transparency is the whole point.

Members only Weekly pickup at the farm Meet your animals anytime

How a herdshare works

01

Buy Your Share

A share purchase makes you a part owner of our dairy goat herd. You are not buying milk, you are buying a piece of the herd.

02

Sign the Agreement

You sign a simple herdshare agreement that spells out what we do as caretakers and what you can expect as an owner.

03

Pay Your Board

A monthly boarding fee covers the care and daily work of keeping your share of the herd healthy.

04

Pick Up Your Milk

Come to the farm on your scheduled pickup day and take home the milk your share produces.

Questions

Still wondering about something? Email rootedlegacyfarm@gmail.com.

Add what you need to your cart and check out. We confirm every order by email or text, then set a pickup time that works for you.

Pickup happens at the farm by appointment. If you cannot make it out, ask us about local delivery and we will see what we can arrange.

Yes. Cottage foods, bulk meat, and holiday items are pre order only, since we bake and pack them fresh for your pickup day.

We confirm your order first, then send payment details. Nothing is charged automatically when you place an order on the site.

Buying a share makes you a part owner of the herd. As an owner you are entitled to the milk your animals produce, and we care for them on your behalf.

A quarter share is about a gallon a week, a half share about two, and a full share about four. Volume rises and falls with the season and where our does are in their lactation.

Please do. Members are welcome to come out, meet their animals, and watch a milking so they can see exactly how the herd is cared for.

Give us thirty days notice and we will buy your share back at the current rate. No penalty, no hard feelings.

On pasture, with shade, clean water, quality hay, and daily hands on care. Every animal here is known by name and checked every single day.

We do not use growth hormones. If an animal is sick we treat it, because that is good stewardship, and we hold its milk or meat back for the full withdrawal period.

Yes. Look under Farm to Farm for doelings, pullets, and breeding services. We share health records and background before anything leaves the farm.

The cream and natural fats in goat milk make a gentle, moisturizing bar. Members of our own family with sensitive skin use nothing else.

They are made in our home kitchen under Texas cottage food law and are not inspected by the Department of State Health Services. We label every item clearly.

Unwashed eggs keep for weeks on the counter and longer refrigerated. Meat stays frozen until you thaw it, and baked goods are best within about five days.

It does. What is available follows the season, the garden, and the herd, so the shop looks a little different through the year.

Our family does, together. Chores, milking, baking, soap making, and order packing all happen with the whole household pitching in.

We love hosting visitors by appointment, especially herdshare members and families who want their kids to meet the animals. Reach out and we will set a time.

It means staying rooted in faith and family while building something worth handing to the next generation. Faith first, family always, building a legacy.
